Some of the biggest and toughest monster trucks are at the Covelli Centre waiting to wow spectators this weekend.

It's all part of the Toughest Monster Truck Tour, which is in town tonight and Saturday. The ice and dashers have been removed from the floor and replaced with 1,250 tons of dirt hauled in on 60 truck loads.

Five monster trucks, including the legendary Bigfoot, Tailgator, Toxic, Stinger and Shell-Camino will compete in racing and freestyle on a dirt track. The 37,000 pound, 35-foot tall transforming, fire-breathing, car-eating dinosaur robot Transaurus also will be featured.

The world-class FMX East motocross team will wow the crowd with gravity-defying tricks and stunts, including back-flips. The FMX East team is a group of highly esteemed professional freestyle motocross riders who have competed in events across North America, South America and Europe.

"The Toughest Monster Truck tour is a pretty awesome tour. They do a lot with dirt. They do a lot with ramps. As far as freestyle goes, wheelie contests, racing, it's all an exciting show," said Dan Runte, Bigfoot driver.

The shows start at 7:30 p.m. today and Saturday with a pit party at 5:30 p.m. both days.

Tickets are $27 for Gold Circle, $22 for Adult Reserved and $10 Reserved for children ages 2 to 12. Tickets can be purchased at the Covelli Centre box office or online at ticketmaster.com or by phone at 1-800-745-3000. All seats are reserved.
