A new business incubator is up and running in Mercer County.
The LindenPointe incubator was dedicated in Hermitage on Wednesday afternoon. It will focus on helping STEM-related technologies get started with the hopes of creating new jobs.
They are using ideas from the Youngstown and Erie incubators, which have had several success stories.
"They are going to be mentored by folks that will make sure on a monthly basis that they are progressing at a fashion that they are to progress, so after five years they will be able to move out of the incubator," said Rex Knisley, president of LindenPointe.
Knisley said while the incubator is located in Hermitage, it is a regional concept that aims to develop new businesses for both Pennsylvania and Ohio.
