"I just got turned down from a job. They said they weren't filling the spot, so I need some money. I need to win," says Don Feldhouse of Masury.
Mega Millions is played in Ohio and eleven other states, but Pennsylvania isn't one of them. People on both sides of the border can press their luck at the Penn Ohio Medicine Mart on the state line.
"That's the one! Ha, ha, ha, she promised!" says another happy customer as he gets his ticket for the drawing.
Here are some more numbers for you. This jackpot has been growing since January 13th. It's now rolled a lucky 13 times without a jackpot winner. Your odds of winning any money are about one in 40, but the big prize? More like one in 176 million.
"But all it takes is a dollar to win. I came close once. This time I would like to get it this time," says Craig Test of Hermitage.
The players have big plans for the money. "Hope to win. I want to give it to my kids, grand-kids, great-grandkids," says Jackie Orr of Boardman.
"My son's got to graduate this year, and my son will be on cloud nine if I hit it, too," says Robert Pinch of Sharon.
Mega Millions drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday night at 11 o'clock. Match five numbers plus the Mega Ball for $212 million. The cash option is not too shabby either, at about $138 million.
