Man Held on Assault Charge

A Pennsylvania man is being held in the Beaver County Jail, awaiting arraignment on an aggravated assault charge.

56-year-old Roy Stevens, Jr. is accused of holding 36-year old Candis Mason of Georgetown at gunpoint and threatening to kill her. 

According to reports, Stevens struck Mason with the gun and then fled the scene.  Mason suffered moderate injuries but refused to go to the hospital. 

Stevens turned himself into Pennsylvania State Police Saturday.  No word yet on when he will be arraigned.
