Five local teens are getting the chance to show off their dancing skills in a national, live competition in New York City Wednesday night.
The team is known as Mane Atraktion and is made up of 3 boys and 2 girls, all from Youngstown. The hip hop dancers beat out thousands of others from across the country for a shot to compete on BET's "106 and Park."
Rakia Levesque says she was driving when the team found out they made it to New York. "I almost wrecked. Like, we just got out of the car and we just (started) running. We couldn't believe it because we've been through so much and it's like now we're finally seeing our destiny and it's like overwhelming, so we were like speechless."
Mane Atraktion will perform live on BET Wednesday night at 6. After the dance off, viewers will vote online to see who will advance to the next round.
