What's better than fresh bread?

Fresh bread that benefits Easter Seals. Great Harvest Bread Company in Boardman rolled out the dough for the Easter Seals' 2 Million Penny Drive.

Some volunteers as well as children who benefit from Easter Seals' services got their chance to be Baker of the Day. Jodi Harmon, Easter Seals, said Great Harvest provided the ingredients necessary to make the bread with all proceeds to benefit Easter Seals.

"It was so important to have Hunter [Crites] here today because he can walk independently and also that Christian, he's our 2009-2010 child representative, and he is also receiving the suitability program," Harmon said. "He is also beginning to walk and doing other kinds of skills that he wasn't able to do before. So, we are very fortunate."

Easter Seals is the leading non-profit provider of services for individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, physical disabilities and other special needs.
