Charities rely on donations for their existence.  Do you think they really ever care where the money comes from?

The city of Youngstown hosted its second annual Downtown Dash for revelers who want to get a jump start on the holiday weekend.  Each year the money raised goes to charity, but this year, the charity refused.

The Pincham Initiative Resource Center said, in honor of the late Edna Pincham, while they appreciate the gesture, they will not be accepting any donations from an event that revolved around alcohol.  "Clearly encouraging, hopefully adults, to, you know, hit bars and consume alcohol as much as they can was contrary to my mother's beliefs and my beliefs as well," said Edna Pincham's son, Howard Pincham.

Organizers say the thousands of dollars in proceeds will now be given to another local charity.
