A group of volunteers spent Wednesday sprucing things up in Liberty Township.

The group Liberty in Bloom was out near the Interstate 80 and Belmont Avenue interchange doing some work on the flower beds that they maintain there.

The organization has been in existence for about 10 years, and they work to beautify the township. Wednesday was spent pruning rose bushes and cleaning up from the winter.

Later this spring they will plant flowers at different spots around the township.
