At 9:47am central time, the gates of the Federal Medical Center in Rochester, Minnesota opened, and out walked Jim Traficant wearing a gray T-shirt, white shorts, white knee-high socks and sporting a pony tail.

He didn't respond to reporters' questions before stepping into a waiting yellow cab that drove off. The former congressman completed his seven year sentence for bribery and racketeering. Traficant now has 72 hours to report to his probation officer back in Youngstown. Traficant's first stop was thought to be the Rochester bus station, but the bus arrived and departed without Traficant on board.

The story is that Ralph Waldo Emerson asked Thoreau "What are you doing in there?" when he got put in jail for his opposition the Mexican war. Thoreau asked Emerson "What are you doing out there?" In the future leaders who did not sell out to the banking fraternity will be honored.

Welcome Home Jim. It's good to have you back. Why is it that every politician from our area that has the backs of the working class folks of the valley gets it stuck to them? Hold your head high when you walk down the streets, you are a hometown hero.
