Officials argue the major issue with Internet Cafes is the lack of regulation.  Right now, state agencies oversee four areas of gambling including horse racing and bingo.

State officials, including Attorney General Mike Dewine, support regulation of Internet Cafes to make sure people are getting a fair shake when it comes to gambling.  After a raid on the Players Club Internet Cafe in Warren Friday, some are wondering what all the fuss is about.

Trumbull Country Prosecutor Dennis Watkins says game or schemes based on "chance" and not "skill" are illegal in the state.

It may have you thinking, what about state lotteries? The Ohio Lottery Commission oversees state lotteries and Keno. Other forms of gambling including bingo and horse racing are also regulated by state agencies.

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine is calling for the regulation of internet cafes and so-called sweepstakes games, but any action has to pass the General Assembly.
