Long time Valley politician, Arthur Magee, is stepping down as mayor of Hubbbard.

Magee says a neck injury this past summer has made serving as mayor very difficult. Magee's first stint as Hubbard mayor lasted nine years beginning in 1973. He was elected mayor for the second time in 2004. He will officially step down December 12. President of council, John Darko, will be acting mayor until a replacement is elected.
