The case of Karl Hoerig, who was found shot dead in his Newton Falls home six months ago is getting more national attention this week.
America's Most Wanted has been in the valley for two days filming a segment on the case. The main suspect, Karl's wife Claudia, is believed to have fled to Brazil. Authorities from Trumbull County and the U.S. Marshall Service are working with the show to get tips on her whereabouts though.
"THERE HAVE BEEN NO CONFIRMED SIGHTINGS IN BRAZIL. SHE IS NOT IN CUSTODY IN BRAZIL, AND WE DON'T HAVE HER IN HANDCUFFS. WHAT WE NEED TO DO IS FIRST LOCATE HER. THEN APPROACH THE DIPLOMATIC MEANS NECESSARY TO GET HER BACK FOR JUSTICE." says America's Most Wanted Producer, Paula Simpson.
The show will focus on the relationship between Karl and Claudia plus the days leading up to the murder. It will air in late fall.
