We have an update on a story we first brought you last weekend: The "Hearts for Heroes" initiative has collected more than 1,000 Valentine's cards for troops overseas.

The idea started as a simple conversation with a friend about troops in Iraq getting lonely around the holidays and spiraled into local schools, churches, and individuals making Valentine's cards for our troops overseas.

The Hearts for Heroes founder sends her sincere thanks to everyone who is helping make a troop's life a little brighter this holiday.
