November is National Hospice month and local care givers received a special blessing.

A "Blessing of the Hands" took place Monday night at Youngstown State University's Kilcawley Center.. About 25 people who provide care to hospice patients had their hands dipped in holy oil.

The ceremony is to symbolize the difference hospice workers make in the lives of patients and their families. The service was sponsored by Southern Care Hospice of Youngstown.
