Forum Health employees and community members hit the streets in downtown Youngstown Thursday.

They were marching in support of Forum Health and to make the community aware of what could happen if Forum or Northside Medical Center were to shut their doors. Organizers said thousands of jobs are at stake and that the public would lose their choice of different health care providers.

They said they hope their message resonates with the Forum Health board.

"The board needs to make the best decision for these 1,400 jobs, for these 4,000 jobs in Forum overall," said Northside Medical Center staff nurse Nancy Moore. "They've got to go to bed and think, when they lay their head on that pillow at night, how many thousands of lives they could be affecting by their decision."

The march started at Vindicator Square, and the crowd walked down Boardman Street to Market and then on to the steps of the Federal Courthouse.
