Four men will appear in court Thursday after the raid of a Kenwood Drive drug house police said is part of several heroin operations with Michigan connections.
Officers from the Trumbull Ashtabula Group Law Enforcement Task Force, Trumbull and Ashtabula sheriff's offices and the Howland Police Department conducted the raid at 2436 Kenwood Drive on Tuesday.
Dexter Douglas, 38, of Warren; Andrew Hall, 25, of Ravenna; Joseph Mikulski, 26; and Kenneth Ramsey, 22, of Ravenna, face several charges ranging from drug abuse to carrying a concealed weapon.
During the raid, police recovered about 10 grams of heroin worth about $2,000, marijuana and about $3,000 in cash. When they arrived at the home, they saw Ramsey purchasing heroin from Douglas. Douglas was seen trying to conceal the purchase by throwing a bindle of heroin into a car in which Ramsey was the passenger.
At the same time, Hall and a passenger pulled up to the home and called Douglas to make a purchase. Police found syringes and about $460 in their car along with a revolver under the driver's seat and a long hunting knife stuffed between the seats.
Police said the investigations, arrest and search warrant for the raid are a continuation of the task force's street cleaning project to reduce the impact of heroin in Warren.
