While a 12-year-old Girard girl continues to recover from a dog attack that happened on Sunday, the police department is looking into allegations that the victim's dogs were killed.
Susan Turner, the mother of the 12-year-old Broadview Street girl, filed a report Wednesday saying since she reported her daughter being attacked by the neighbor's dog, her three dogs have been killed.
She said she thought two of the dogs were hit by a car, but a vet has told her it appears the dogs had been beaten. She said she believes the third dog was poisoned.
The girl had to get more than 100 stitches on her face and is now recovering at home.
