NEW CASTLE, Pa. (AP) - Attorneys for an 11-year-old western Pennsylvania boy accused of fatally shooting his father's pregnant fiancee are again asking a judge to dismiss key evidence.

Attorneys for Jordan Brown, of New Beaver, made the request at a hearing in Lawrence County Court on Wednesday.

The defense wants the judge to dismiss statements the boy made to a state trooper on the day 26-year-old Kenzie Marie Houk was found shot to death in the family's home in February.

Brown's attorneys say the trooper did not seek Jordan's father's permission before questioning the boy at his elementary school.

Judge Dominick Motto did not issue a ruling on the motions.

Brown is charged as an adult in the killings of Houk and her unborn son. His attorneys also want the case moved to juvenile court.

This is sad how they have to repeatedly exploit this boy with that picture! It is awefull! Everyone knows that a trooper knows full well what they need to do before they question a child. What they did is wrong. Anytime you have a minor this young the utmost caution should be used, and everything done improperly should be seriously scrutinized. Investigators often use lead words and this can be misinterpreted by a child this young. Often children answer things incorrectly because they are scared or mislead and often they lie just to be released. The fact that this took place in the privacy of a school room proves this boy was a suspect. Also proving the investigators acted improperly is the fact that they interviewed the boy separate from the little girl. This brings up red flags. All of this needs to be thrown out. This is a little boy. He has to be protected. This is very wrong.
