Some children in Poland are learning to "go green."

North Elementary fourth graders are encouraging others to follow their lead to help save the environment.

The students handed out re-usable mugs Friday morning at Dunkin Donuts.  The goal?  To cut down on the use of styrofoam cups.

Their effort is part of Disney's Save the Planet challenge, a nationwide contest to win a trip to Disneyland.

North principal Mike Masucci says, "The kids are learning very valuable lessons on what their role is in reducing what's termed their ecological footprint.  We all leave one on this earth, good or bad.  And the valuable lessons that they're learning participating in activities like this will last a long time."

Especially if they win that trip!  The Disney contest runs until the end of February.
