It has already started getting a little chilly outside, and Warren Councilman Bob Dean wants to help make sure everyone who needs a warm coat can get one.

This is the fifth year for Dean's annual coat give away, and Friday he received some help from the Wear District at the Eastwood Mall.

The store, which opened in July, is currently accepting donations of new or gently used coats for adults and children.

"We decided to help out with the situation since the economy is so tough and because it's the right time of year," said Jane Barbe, of the Wear District. "It is getting colder."

Dean said it's the first time a local store has helped the drive, and that the Cleveland Browns are giving about 2,000 coats on top of those collected at Wear District.

Dean plans on having the coat giveaway in the next few weeks.
