Valley residents continue to show their support to the troops. Shepherd of the Valley made its second donation Tuesday to the Youngstown Air Reserve Station as part of its Operation Support Our Troops effort.

It's been taking donations since June, anything from flip flops to magazines, to send to our men and women in uniform. They dropped off nearly 10-full boxes at the Vienna airbase Tuesday morning. While the troops will no doubt enjoy what's inside those care packages, it might just be the care behind the package that counts the most. "It's a piece of home that came from home, somebody you may not even know, and that's important to the troops that they know somebody cares at this end," said Col. Karl McGregor with the 910th Airlift Wing.

The shipping fees for all ten care packages are all paid for thanks to a donation of stamps from the Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Sharon.
