From all appearances, it's business as usual at the "Honda Store" in Boardman, but township Police say a former employee of the dealership stands accused of stealing at least $600,000 from the business.

According to a report filed with police last Thursday, the employee, who isn't being named, worked as office manager for the dealership from 2005 until last March.  She apparently resigned after the theft, which had been going on for several years, was finally discovered.  The report claims the employee wrote checks to herself and then created phony receipts, crediting her own account instead of the dealership's.  She's also accused of taking cash from the business' daily transactions, again writing checks to herself.  At one point, she reportedly purchased two vehicles using the money she was taking.

Police say they're still waiting for a more complete accounting from the dealership.

At this point, no charges have been filed.
