No one's attempted it in eleven years, but Boardman's Joe Sylvester just jumped his monster truck right into the record books.
Sylvester's friends and family left Sunday morning for Columbus, Pennsylvania where they watched Sylvester try a record-breaking jump in his Bad Habit monster truck.
After a couple practice runs, relatives said Joe successfully jumped 208 feet, breaking the old world record of 202 feet.
Before they left, the Sylvester family said they aren't surprised Joe is going for the record. He's always been a thrill-seeker.
"He's always been kind of a dare devil. He's never been afraid of anything. That's a little scary for the family at times," said Krysta Sylvester, Joe's sister. "He's also doing it to try and put himself on the map and put the sport on the map. A lot of people have forgotten about it, and, you know, he honors the sport."
Believe it or not, his family said they weren't even nervous to see Joe take the leap.
