The proposed coal-to-fuel energy plant for Columbiana County gets another financial boost, putting Wellsville another step closer to getting the new plant with hundreds of jobs.
The Port Authority will be getting $4.5 million from the state to buy land along the river for the Ohio River Clean Fuels plant that Baard Energy is planning to build on the site.
Baard says it now has all the permits it needs and plans to start construction next year.
