An organization that helps people with substance abuse problems now has a larger facility thanks to a donor in the community.
Lamb's House is a non-profit organization that offers addiction recovery through scripture. Volunteers spent Saturday cleaning and painting to get the place ready for its grand opening.
The new 3,000 square-foot facility is located on Union Ridge Road in Rogers. The building was once a nursing facility and can house up to 20 people at a time.
"We're gonna have, again, Biblical counseling, classes will be held here, training sessions. We have an 11-bedroom home there that'll house volunteers, people who are going through counseling, college, you know," explained Mark Altomare, Lamb's House director.
The organization hopes to have the facility up and running within the next 2 months.
