Salem advances to the Regional Semifinals after defeating Granville, 38-31 in overtime.  The Quakers, making their first playoff appearance in school history, trailed Granville 31-21 at halftime, but held the Blue Aces scoreless in the 2nd half, forcing overtime.  Salem outscored Granville, 7-0 in overtime to earn the victory.

Trailing 3-0 in the first quarter, the Quakers' Trent Toothman ran for a 61 yard touchdown on Salem's first possession to take the 7-3 lead.  Granville retook the lead after scoring a 16-yard touchdown.  But Salem was not to be outdone.  In the second quarter, Toothman went to the air, connecting with Ben Eisel on a 42 yard touchdown reception, and Zach Penick on a 50 yard touchdown.  Salem scored two more touchdowns, one in the second half and one in overtime to seal the victory.

Salem advances to play Steubenville next Friday at 7:30pm.  The site is yet to be determined.
