Coaches Comments: “We’re really young. We scrimmaged last night (10/27/09) with 10 healthy guys, but six are freshmen and three are sophomores and we scored a whopping 40 points so I think everybody else will know that they will at least have Westminster to compete with. The reason we scrimmaged so early is that I haven’t seen a lot of these guys play too much and I wanted to see what we have. We have a really nice freshman class. I like their ability and I like the way they work. They are going to be good, just probably not by November 18th. The big thing we are looking forward to is hopefully being pretty good by Christmas when Ryne Murray comes back. He only had one semester (of eligibility) left so he is going to play the second semester. He will certainly be a big boost to our team. Without him, hopefully these freshmen and sophomores will learn a lot early and when we get him back, we are hoping to be a pretty good team by January.”
