Mooney Advances to Tenth State Final

Cardinal Mooney advanced to the school's tenth state final following a 45-7 win over Steubenville Friday night at Canton's Fawcett Stadium. 

Braylon Heard amassed more than 300 rushing yards and scored three touchdowns in the win for the Cardinals. 

Cardinal Mooney will face Columbus DeSales in the Division III State Championship game.  Kickoff is slated for 11 a.m. at Massillon's Paul Brown Tiger Stadium.

Mooney defeated DeSales 21-14 earlier this season.  The Cardinals are seeking the seventh state championship in the football program's history.
