One goal was all Canfield needed to get closer to its goal.
Senior captain Audrey Smith netted the only goal of the game in the Cardinals 1-0 win over West Geauga Wednesday night in Twinsburg. She scored at the 10:30 mark of the second half.
The Cardinals (13-2-6) will advance to the Division I Regional Finals, which will be played at noon on Saturday at Twinsburg High School.
They will play either Cuyahoga Falls Walsh Jesuit (16-0-2) or Massillon Jackson (17-2-1), with the winner advancing to the State Semifinals at Rocky River.
