According to the stat sheet, the Rebels and Irish racked up similar numbers on offense in their Regional Semifinal showdown.  But it was the defending state champs who came out on top on the scoreboard.

Ursuline had five scoring plays of 49 yards or more in a 48-14 win over Crestview on Friday night in Austintown.

Allen Jones racked up 138 yards rushing on only 10 carries while getting into the endzone three times.  His scoring plays covered 52, 50 and 17 yards.

Akise Teague had a 60 yard punt return touchdown and a 21 yard TD run, while Paul Kempe added a 49 yard scoring scamper.  Kempe had 92 yards rushing and 93 yards passing with an 11-17 performance.

Jesse Curry returned a fumble 99 yards for a touchdown for the defending champs as well.

Because of Ursuline's big plays, the Rebels dominated time of possession 32:12 to 15:48.  Jessie Dew had a touchdown run and Carter Hill connected with Jacob Thompson for Crestview's other score.

Ursuline (8-3) advances to the Regional Finals against Cuyahoga Heights (12-0) on Friday November 20th.  The neutral site for the game will be announced on Sunday.

Crestview's season ends with a 10-2 record.
