Will he or won't he? That's the question many are still asking about a potential run for Congress by Jim Traficant. Monday night's appearance on CNN still hasn't cleared up the mystery.
Traficant appeared in an interview via satellite on CNN's "The Situation Room" with Wolf Blitzer. Traficant touched on several topics including his life in prison, concern for Delphi workers and his political future.
He maintains that he's "thinking seriously about running" and is receiving a lot of support. Traficant says he hopes to become the first person in history to serve a prison term and come back to win a seat in Congress. "The only reason I will run is to help a deprived area, number one, and number two, to get the IRS and the Justice Department right by the short hairs...that's telling it the way it is," Traficant said.
When asked if he was still a Democrat, Traficant said he'd supported Democrat and Republican initiatives in the past and didn't know what party he would run under at this point.
