Lawyers for several of the people indicted in the Oakhill Renaissance Place investigation are now demanding information from the prosecution.

Attorneys representing Anthony Cafaro Sr., his sister Flora and a number of their family-run businesses have filed for what's known as a Bill of Particulars in the case.

The lawyers claim they want specific information on the charges filed against the defendants, as well as the nature of the crimes filed against them.

The Cafaros, their businesses and a number of current and former office holders are accused of conspiring with each other to keep Mahoning County from buying Oakhill Renaissance Place and moving the Department of Job and Family Services there.

A 41-page, 73-count indictment was filed last month.

Counts were filed against:

  • Anthony M. Cafaro, Sr.
  • Ohio Valley Mall Company
  • Cafaro Company
  • Marion Plaza Inc.
  • Commissioner John A. McNally, IV
  • Local attorney Martin Yavorcik
  • Former treasurer John Reardon
  • Auditor Michael V. Sciortino
  • Flora Cafaro
  • John Zachariah, former Job and Family Services Director
