Lawyers for at least some of the defendants in the Oakhill Renaissance Place purchasing case filed paperwork with the courts to have the charges dismissed.

An attorney representing Anthony and Flora Cafaro, as well their companies, filed the motion late Tuesday. By court order, the documents are under seal until the judge releases them to the public.

The Cafaros, along with several current and former Mahoning County officer holders, are charged with conspiring to keep the county from buying Oakhill Renaissance Place in 2006.

Release the Carafo clan; you have got to be kidding; right?? They both are as guilty as sin; by now both are on the streets. J.J. just opened another business in Niles. I will never shop at anyplace knowing that the Cafaro name is on it. No I do not shop at the Mall. The "Cafaro clan" in my opinion (J.J. and sister Capri) should be sitting in a good old fashioned jail cell. They are in my opinion "as dirty as the day is long".
