The Attorney General may share his views Friday on the impending sale of Forum Health to Community Health Systems.
Richard Cordray has a press conference planned Friday in downtown Youngstown. He's expected to give an update on his office's review of Community Health Systems, the company that came in with the highest bid to acquire Forum's assets at a bankruptcy hearing earlier this month.
Cordray said he wants to see this transaction succeed while keeping the best interests of Forum's employees and clients in mind.
"How does the proposed transaction help fulfill the charitable mission of Forum Health, which I see as providing high quality, affordable, accessible health care to the people of this Valley," Cordray said.
Cordray said they're working hard to save more than 3,000 jobs at all three Forum Health locations. It is unknown how the Attorney General's decision might impact any bankruptcy court rulings.
