Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray will be in the Valley Thursday.

He's called a news conference to discuss the proposed sale of Forum Health assets.  Last week, lawyers for the system filed papers in US Bankruptcy Court seeking approval of a sale to the Tennessee-based Ardent Health Services for nearly $70 million.

The sale would include Northside Medical Center in Youngstown, Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren and Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital in Howland, as well as Forum's existing laboratory sites and diagnostic and imagining centers and the system's physician group.

Under Ohio law, the Attorney General must approve any sale involving a non-profit entity such as Forum Health to ensure the community's interests are preserved.  Ardent is a for-profit concern which owns hospital systems in Oklahoma and New Mexico.

Check back for more details as they develop, or tune in to Thursday's newscasts.
