Tune in Saturday Nights at 7:30 on WYTV and Sunday Nights at 7:30 on MyYTV as WYTV and Youngstown State University present Academic Challenge!  Academic Challenge is a year long tournament of knowledge featuring the best and brightest High School and Middle School students of Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana, Mercer, and Lawrence Counties.

There are 40 High Schools and 16 Middle Schools that are chosen each year to participate. The High School season begins in early October and will end Mid-June followed by the Middle School season from June to October.  This year marks the eighth season of Academic Challenge. 

Academic Challenge has been hosted by WYTV's Stan Boney since the programs beginning.

Academic Challenge features a number of future valedictorians, ivy school grads, doctors, lawyers, maybe even the next president of the United States!
